Test Your Athleticism at the MWR Barbarian Bruiser Race, not far from Yorktown

August 11, 2015

Sloshing through knee-high water. Scrambling up thick ropes. Dodging obstacles. If you sign up for the MWR Barbarian Bruiser Race in Williamsburg, these tasks will all be on your to-do list. Maybe you've conquered the Cheatham Annex Trail in its natural state before, but you certainly haven't seen it like this.

Register online ahead of time to claim your spot in this race, which is open to you and any family members who are at least 14 years of age. The grueling course veers off-road at points, so make sure you wear something comfortable that can get dirty. Your workout will be rewarded at the end of the race, where you can grab a free t-shirt and a "barbarian-sized" turkey leg to refuel. The fun unfolds at 10 a.m. on September 26, not far from your home at Yorktown.
